Each maze is a separate themed experience, with its own setting, characters, scares and atmosphere. You’ll make your way through the mazes in groups, with professional actors inside each attraction.
Tickets can be purchased online. When booking, you’ll need to select your preferred date and time slot before completing your purchase. Tickets may also be available on the door, subject to availability, with a £5 surcharge.
Professional scare actors will be located inside the mazes and roaming around the event site. They may get close, follow, interact and surprise you, but they will not touch guests at any point.
Parking is available on site at Crouch Valley Showground. Please follow the event signage and marshal instructions when you arrive to help keep traffic moving safely.
The event takes place at Crouch Valley Showground, A1245, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 7FQ. We recommend checking your route before travelling and allowing extra time during peak periods.
Please arrive in good time for your booked time slot. Late arrivals may affect your entry, especially during busy periods, so we recommend arriving early enough to park, check in and join the queue.
Due to the nature and structure of the scare mazes, access is restricted. Although wheelchairs and walking aid devices are allowed, it can be tight to manoeuvre. Carer tickets are also not available for this event.
Street food, hot and cold refreshments and alcoholic drinks are available to purchase on site. The Bell & Burial licensed bar is also open for drinks before or after the mazes.
The mazes are indoors, but the queue areas are outdoors. Please wear warm, comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for standing and walking outside during October evenings.
Due to the nature of this horror event, the experience is only suitable for ages 13 and above. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.
The event includes darkness, loud noises, smoke effects, flashing lights, confined spaces and sudden scares. Please consider this before booking. This event is not suitable for those with epilepsy.
We do not offer ticket refunds or cancellations on any grounds. Ticket bookings are final. Please consider this before purchasing your tickets for the 2026 Village of the Cursed event.
